MAX PERFORMANCE CROSSFIT
What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many fire and police academies, tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. It delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Its specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness.
What sort of exercises do you perform?
We use various functional movements, like deadlifts, squats, dips, pull-ups, push-ups, cleans, presses and sit-ups. We run, jump, throw, pull ropes, push sleds, swing sledge hammers, and flip tires. We mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Our workouts are exciting and intense.
What is the difference between Max Performance and Max Performance Crossfit?
Max Performance focuses on specific sport athlete development. Our athlete development program is designed for individual athletes for specific sports and we work on the skills that will make those athletes better in their sport. CrossFit is a program focused on a “tactical athlete” similar to Fire, Police, and Military personnel. The tactical athlete needs to be ready for any challenge at any time and thus their training will be different than a competitive athlete that knows when, where, how long and what tasks they will be expected to perform.
Do you follow the workouts on the CrossFit Website?
We perform many of the same workouts posted on crossfit.com, but we also incorporate many of the foundational development principals used to train our performance athletes. Our experienced trainers take advantage of our equipment and space and use the CrossFit principals to develop our intense and effective training.
